Jose Soriano blanked the Cubs over six innings with 4 K in a tidy 2-0 Angels win. Logan O'Hoppe drove in both runs on a 1-for-3 day, while three-time MVP Mike Trout went 0-for-3, his average dipping to .300.

Taylor Ward came out of nowhere with a 4-for-5, 2-RBI afternoon to pace a Texas lineup that pounded Baltimore 8-5. Jacob deGrom lasted just 4.2 innings, surrendering 3 ER and 7 K in a losing effort, while Zach Eflin got the win despite exiting after 3.2 frames with 1 ER and 7 strikeouts of his own.

Shohei Ohtani did Shohei Ohtani things: 6.0 IP, 6 K, 0 ER on the mound, plus a hit at the plate, as the Dodgers topped Cleveland 4-1. Max Muncy went deep with a solo shot, and Andy Pages drove in two, while 5x All-Star Jose Ramirez went 0-for-4 to drop to a horrifying .120.

Andre Pallante delivered five scoreless innings with 3 K to outduel Kodai Senga (6.0 IP, 9 K, 2 ER) as the Cardinals topped the Mets 3-0. Francisco Lindor, the perennial All-Star, went 0-for-3 and is now batting a ghastly .176, while Juan Soto went 2-for-4 to stay hot at .381.

Oakland roughed up the Braves 5-2 with homers from Shea Langeliers and Drake Baldwin, while Andy Ibanez went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Aaron Civale earned the win with 5.0 IP and 2 ER as Ronald Acuna Jr., the 2023 NL MVP, went 0-for-4 and slid to .167.

Four different Brewers went deep — Turang, Sanchez, Fortes, and Bauers — in a 6-2 demolition of Tampa Bay. Brandon Woodruff went 5.0 IP with 6 K and 2 ER, while 2018 NL MVP Christian Yelich went 0-for-3 but remains comfortably at .353.
